Brunswick Fury Pearl

Once again Brunswick responds to the market. To complement the success of the Fury, bowlers asked for a pearlized version. Answering the call, Brunswick delivers the Fury Pearl.

Coverstock
Building on the success of the original Fury, the Fury Pearl utilizes a pearlized coverstock and a smoother Coverstock Finish to create a ball with a back-end reaction that is truly BIG. The Fury Pearl utilizes a pearlized version of the High Octane coverstock used on the original Fury. The pearl additive helps create more length and saves hooking action for the back-ends.

Glossy Non-Compound Finish
The bowling industry is starting to embrace the surface finishes created by 2000-grit and 4000-grit abrasives. These abrasives create a glossy finish that many bowlers would assume are polished with a wax or similar compound. The benefit to the bowler is that these finishes create length similar to balls coated with compound finishes, but are better able to handle carrydown. The Fury Pearl is finished with 4000-grit Abrasive pads driven by the new Haus high speed bowling ball resurfacing machine.

Core
The Fury Pearl uses the original Fury's Torsion Symmetric core system known for its high hook potential, easy revving and powerful, but controllable breakpoints. Brunswick has twisted the core on the inside of the ball so you can twist it up more on the lanes.

Reaction Characteristics
•Out of the Box: With its 4000-grit finish, the Fury Pearl will provide a more skid/snap reaction than the original Fury and match up well on medium-dry to medium-oily lane conditions.
•If your Fury Pearl goes too long: Shiny surface finishes sometimes cause the ball to go too long before breaking. To get your Fury Pearl rolling sooner, dull the surface with a 2000-grit abrasive (Abralon or Scotch-Brite Gold pads) to increase hooking action. To further increase hooking action, use a rougher abrasive to create an earlier reaction.
•If your Fury Pearl hooks too early: Polish your Fury Pearl will Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss Polish to increase length.

To bring your Fury Pearl back to its original factory finish, sand the surface with 4000-grit Abralon or White Scotch-Brite pads.

Brunswick Twisted Fury

Get Twisted! The Twisted Fury expands and upgrades the Fury line by introducing both a new core and new coverstock to the market. The Twisted Fury is comprised of an asymmetric version of the Torsion™ Core and the EnMotion™ Reactive coverstock.

Coverstock
The Twisted Fury introduces EnMotion Reactive coverstock. More aggressive in the mid-lane and back-end than High Octane, EnMotion Reactive delivers tremendous mid-lane recovery and forgiveness combined with plenty of back-end ball reaction.

Core
Brunswick has added a new twist to the Torsion core concept by producing an Asymmetric version for the Twisted Fury. The symmetric version of the Torsion core used in the original Fury was based on triangular geometry. The Asymmetric version is based on a six-sided polygon. The inner core of a 16-pound Twisted Fury weighs in at 6.36 pounds, resulting in a medium RG that helps push the aggressive EnMotion coverstock down the lane. Brunswick has put a new twist on core design so you can twist it up better on the lanes.

•Out of the Box: With its Rough Buff finish, the Twisted Fury will provide excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong continuous back-end reaction.
•If your Twisted Fury goes too long: Dull the surface with 800-grit or rougher abrasive to get the Twisted Fury to roll sooner and increase its hooking action.
•If your Twisted Fury hooks too early: Polish your Twisted Fury with Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss Polish.

The Power Groove line has been a tremendous success for Brunswick. Designed primarily for bowlers buying their first performance ball, the Power Groove line delivers a tremendous amount of hook potential for the money.

The Power Groove Dry/R Green/Chrome is designed for a different type of bowler and lane condition.

Less traction in the oil, a smoother reaction off the dry and a lower hook potential than the shiny Power Groove reactive balls, the Power Groove DryR delivers a better match-up on dry lane conditions.

High RPM players will find the Power Groove Dry/R to be the tamest of Brunswick's reactive coverstock balls, making it an excellent ball to go to on dry lane conditions.

Reaction Setup
Your Power Groove Dry/R Green/Chrome Pearl can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for two-piece balls. Since the Power Groove Dry/R is intended for drier lane conditions Brunswick recommends using pin positions between 4 to 5, avoiding the most aggressive 3 3/8 (leverage) pin position. See the included drilling instructions for reaction characteristics and layout details.

Your Power Groove Dry/R Green/Chrome Pearl is finished with a high gloss surface which enhances its appearance and reduces hooking action in the oil. High gloss finishes can sometimes cause over/under reactions, too little hooking action in the oil, then too much hooking action off the dry, which can be hard to control. To increase hooking action and smooth out the ball reaction dull the surface, first with a fine 800-1000 grit abrasive. If more hooking action and a smoother reaction is desired dull the surface of the ball with a coarse 320-400 grit abrasive.

The Copperhead targets one of the most popular reactions in the bowling ball industry, Reactive Solid Sanded. This type of ball reaction is embraced by many bowlers as the best all-around combination of coverstock and surface finish. Providing high hook potential with a controllable ball reactions and good pin carry.

Technology
Aggressive Reactive Coverstock: PowrKoil 18 coverstock is a proven performer that has probably been on more bowling balls than any other Reactive coverstock in the bowling industry. PowrKoil 18 has been used on some of Brunswick's most successful balls including the Danger Zone, Red Alert and BVP Nemesis. Aggressive in the oil and strong off the dry, PowrKoil 18 is a perennial favorite among all styles of bowlers.

Low RG Rocket Core: The Copperhead uses Brunswick's Multi-Sided Rocket Core System which provides a low RG to help the ball rev-up sooner and create tremendous mid-lane recovery.

800-Grit Wet Sand Finish: The Copperhead is finished with an 800-grit wet sand finish which will allow most bowlers to match-up to both freshly oiled and moderately broken down house conditions. • When Shined: With either Brunswick's Factory Finish “High Gloss Polish” or “Rough Buff”, your Copperhead will go longer in the oil and react stronger to the dry creating a more skid/snap arc. High Gloss Polish creates more length than Rough Buff.

Bowling's most popular brand name "Zone" is back on a new line of balls featuring asymmetric cores that incorporate an updated version of the Preferential Spin Axis Technology first developed and patented by Brunswick (US Patent # 5,074,553) in 1991.

Core
For 2007, Brunswick is bringing back an updated version of the bowling industry's original asymmetric core. The Phantom core was the first core with a two-pin design and a built in Preferential Spin Axis (PSA). The ABC/USBC used the Phantom core to establish the original RGmin and RGdiff specifications for the system of bowling. By using an updated version of the Phantom core, Brunswick has increased the asymmetric differential in the Zone line from 0.017” to 0.020”. Combined with Activator coverstock and a 800-grit wet sand finish, the Blast Zone upgrades the Strike Zone in the Zone Asymmetric line.

Drilling Note: Use the included drilling layouts or your current favorite asymmetric layouts for the Blast Zone.    The original Phantom layouts are now obsolete and are not recommended.

The Blast Zone uses a hybrid version of Activator coverstock, combining the Activator Solid from the Ultimate Inferno^® with the Activator Pearl from the Original Inferno. Coverstock
The new XLerator coverstock has been formulated with two main goals in mind. First, to create length through the heads, both when they're fresh and after they've broken down. Hammer's bowling balls are known for hitting hard, and the new Brick upper-mid performance ball is no exception. With an advanced new core design matched with the strongest veneer ever used on a Hammer ball at this performance level, the Brick is destined to be a staple in every bowler's bag.

The new Brick Mirror Plane Asymmetric (MPA) core design is completely asymmetric in shape, a highly unusual feature of the ball. The core is not high mass bias, however the low RG is not in the geometric center of the ball. “This core shape was designed for a specific purpose,” explained Ron Hickland, Ball Design Engineering Manager. “The pro shop operator can tweak ball motion by making smaller layout changes when drilling the Brick. Those smaller layout changes will produce bigger performance changes in ball motion for the bowler.”

When you have a core as special as the Brick MPA, you have to make sure you have a coverstock that makes the most of the core's performance. The GTR Hybrid cover does the trick.

Storm's Premier Line Since the release of the Virtual Gravity, Storm has been inundated with positive feedback and inquires of future designs. The combination of the Gravity Shift and Virtual Gravity gave bowlers a look that they had never seen before on heavier oil; mid-lane control with explosive back-end reactions. One of the greatest features is their adaptability on changing back-end motion depending on the layout chosen.

Our intent with the Virtual Energy is to utilize the early revving motion and explosive back-end characteristics of the Shape-Lock™ HD core, along with the performance proven R2X™ coverstock. The coverstock is the key element to this equation and engineering the right blend of solids and pearls to create the perfect compliment to its predecessors.

Overview:
The testing phase brought several factors into play. We tested several coverstock combinations with the profilometer, as well as, on-lane C.A.T.S. testing. Our goal was to develop a ball that utilizes the best characteristics of its predecessors as well as creating its own unique performance.

Our final product is the R2X™ Hybrid. The combination of the two pearls and a solid reactive delivers the perfect fit within our product line. The solid generates just enough mid-lane read on the heavier volume patterns, while the two pearlized parts deliver the strong motion on the back-end.

The Manufacturer's Intent for the all new 811A SE is to be a stronger version of the 607A SE. We started with an all new core the “Legion 2 Turbo”. This core started out as a symmetric core shape and then was modified into an asymmetric core to get the specific RG, Differential and mass bias numbers we were looking for. This perfectly tuned core is the heart and soul of the all new 811A SE. With the Mass Bias being 0.011, it is set up to give the most angular backend reaction for the widest style of bowlers.

As for the all new “SE8 GEN1” coverstock, this is truly a remarkable breakthrough in coverstock design. We have developed an all new performance pearl additive “Crystalline Mica”. This additive is 15% more responsive of the dry than what was used in the 607A SE. You can clearly see in the SEM's the difference between the SE6 coverstock and the new SE8. With the new core and coverstock, we were able to create the most balanced High Performance ball for the widest range of bowlers' styles.

Using the NEW stronger, more angular cover stocks and combining it with a core that allows the ball to skid further down the lane producing the desirable later, sharper break point.

Easy skid through the front end of the lane to create a later revving, sharper backend reaction.

Our most versatile core yet. Changing the drilling layout makes for substantially larger changes in ball reaction than traditional cores. Using a balance hole increases the strength of the ball reaction. Drill the ball without a balance hole for more control of the break point.

A perfect compliment to the FRENZY. To be used on more oil than the FRENZY. Great for higher ball speeds players and players with less hand.

Using the NEW stronger VIGOR pearl coverstock and combining it with a core with .042" total diff. to provide consistent, reliable ball reaction when control is at a premium.

The VIGOR cover is the strongest cover we have used so far. Even though the VIGOR cover hooks 3-5 boards more than the FRENZY cover, it clears the front part of the lane easily.
